As we turned the page on 2022, I reflected on how I’d like my new year to unfold. I generally don’t make resolutions, but I came up with 3 words on which to center how I approach this year: observation, nourishment and levity. These themes arose because I no longer want to be stuck constantly living in anticipation of future moments, but rather to savor the here and now.
Last Friday was the Epiphany, so I marked the occasion by making a galette des rois | French King Cake (recipe below). I also started the year with some new toys. I strolled the city with my new point & shoot to capture some of the city’s spots.
